....kind of lost track what with holidays and stuff-but back to the grindstone and back to work yesterday- could'nt sleep AT ALL last night,up at 06-40, its gonna be a long day.....

Got bit smashed last night---statics basic but nice enough- better than camping by far!!!
Paddys pretty chilled,settled quick,sams a bit whingey about cleanliness,but hey--its dry....
Up earlyish,and off on beach with pads --- great open space,flat and blustery.......

Quick trip to Dumfries for food and liquor........weather cant make its mind up---rain out to sea.....

2 weeks away from the madhouse- no paperwork,no peoplework-YESSS!!
Last night nice to chat to john,see joe and martyn when they turned up(haha!),and lay down a swift space noise track,and shit meself when joe shouted his knackers off on a track!!
Introduced martyn to scrabble on phone-hes doomed,man-doomed!!

Oh! And picked up my copy of the rudimentary peni cd we're on!!

....the day after....

...quietish one today- no real bad head as such,and up at'em with the dog,no probs- few swifties then to Ikea with sam'n'thom-best bit,admiring the view from the top of the car park!!!
Worse bit-buying wrong things as usual in throngs of people that are all trying to be better than the next joe..... Well,I'm covered in lily pollen....have that!!!!
Vegi delights from lily's in ashton,and nag champa incense tops the day--beer and buckfast 'cos of all the mentions makes for a good night,plus word of peni compo's just too good to be true!!!!

Gig went well enough- could'nt hear ourselves so at times we were a bit ahead of ourselves!! Haha!
Joes nerves showed by being quick off the mark and maybe could've done with a bit louder bass from the beginning-- I must admit though, not a lot of mistakes from meself(maybe the new track due to not hearing well),but other than that samples went well-first gig with no masking on either!!!!
Had to shoot off at 7ish,and pretty fooked to boot anyhoo by that time!!!
Overall a decent day,but think we need to plan set a bit better methinks......

Serious cyclo-geddon!!

Yesterday was a ride day,and prepping for gig on Saturday---
Me,Thom and his mate Owen rode from Leve to Ardwick through Longsight,Gorton,Beswick,Etihad then on to Ardwick to move the Band stuff.Phil and John were there,so we chilled for half an hour then got stuff packed before riding back- beautiful day,really good ride,but knackering!!!!
Later,it was a quick labelling sesh getting all the cables for my gear into order,and I reckon its shaved off a huge slab of time off setup for Saturday!!
Always nervy before gigs,keeping thoughts to a minimum at present.......
